We have a comprehensive assessment and treatment program for ADHD.
We provide psychological assessment and diagnosis for ADHD and have developed our own evidence-based treatment program for ADHD, based on ADHD coaching principles and specific domains for difficulty for individuals with ADHD. We have two types of ADHD assessments, but both consist of a clinical interview, testing and collateral information. ADHD collateral information can range depending on who the patient is, but could consist of report cards, parent/teacher questionnaires, data from your spouse/someone very familiar with you.

SCREENING: Our initial screening helps us decide which of the ADHD assessment types fit your situation.
ADHD-I Assessment: This type of assessment is shorter in duration and testing time. It focuses more directly on the ADHD specific symptoms and related cognitive testing. This is for when there are signs of ADHD, but not other co-occurring or comorbid conditions.
ADHD-II Assessment: An ADHD-II assessment is more comprehensive and includes the types of cognitive tests we have in ADHD-I, but also included intellectual and academic testing. This can be helpful when there is also a history of learning, multiple aspects of neurodivergence or behavioural difficulties. We also can look more in-depth if there is co-occurring anxiety or mood issues.
ADHD-III Assessment: For individuals who have had a diagnosis elsewhere, but need more direction about treatment. We include different measures and potentially cognitive testing to help inform what treatment for your symptoms would be suggested. This is a symptom-based treatment planning assessment and does not provide diagnosis or a diagnostic report. This type of assessment is helpful if you have not been seen at Momenta for an assessment, so we can provide a treatment plan for you that incorporates areas of difficulty as well as your goals and strengths. Individuals who select this options typically want to enter our ADHD treatment program.
Our unique treatment program integrates evidence-based strategies for ADHD, symptoms profiles and coaching approaches to help individuals with ADHD work towards meaningful change in their lives. While we encompass coaching, our approach goes beyond traditional coaching in that we can work with emotions/psychological barriers to achieving your goals as well as use our extensive foundation of mental health training and experience to guide our work with you. Our approach is based on the understanding that not everyone with ADHD has the same priorities to work or same symptom profile. We target a specific area of focus within 12-sessions our approach is structured, goal-oriented and focused on tangible gains. We identify and mobilize unique strengths.
Our areas of focus may include, but are not limited to:
-- procrastination
-- time management
-- organization
-- relationships
-- self-esteem
-- emotion regulation
-- academic performance
-- work performance
