Biography

Dr. Chattha (she/her/they) is the Founder of the Momenta Clinic. Her vision was to build a practice of talented psychologists and therapists who share her passion for helping people bring insight, happiness and meaningful change into their lives. Providing compassionate, evidence-based care with humility and transparency is a cornerstone of Dr. Chattha’s practice. She believes strongly in access to high-quality mental health care for all and has worked to build a welcoming space at the Momenta Clinic for people from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities.

In her professional career, Dr. Chattha has worked as staff psychologist at several hospitals including Credit Valley Hospital (CVH), Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and The Ottawa Hospital (TOH). Her experiences have including working in specialty clinics, such as the Mood and Anxiety Program (CAMH), Eating Disorders Program (CVH) and Rehabilitation Centre at (TOH). Dr. Chattha has also provided consultation in primary care, which has included providing clinical support and education to multiple family health teams as well as delivering psychological care for primary care patients. Dr. Chattha has also worked as a faculty member at the University of Guelph-Humber and served on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Mental Health Association, serving as Board Secretary and chair of several Board committees. She is passionate about innovation in healthcare and outside of her work in the Momenta Clinic, she is interested in healthcare startups.

Dr. Chattha has a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in clinical psychology and is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO). She is also a member of the Canadian Psychological Association and the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA).

Biography

Dr. Tran is passionate about clinical excellence and helping others live better, more meaningful lives through evidence-based practices.  Her approach to psychological services is built on compassion and collaboration.  Dr. Tran strives to provide empathy and acceptance in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Her particular areas of interest are anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationship issues.

Through her work and training in various settings across Canada, Dr. Tran has a broad scope of clinical experience. These settings include hospital programs, correctional facilities, primary care, mental health clinics, as well as the private sector.  She also has a strong interest in effecting change at a broader, strategic level.  Dr. Tran has done so in her various clinical roles, including co-leading hospital-wide initiatives and authoring a number of peer-reviewed publications and presentations.  Outside her work at the Momenta clinic, she holds a clinical leadership role at a leading company providing virtual care solutions.  She also provides consultation and education to family physicians and psychological services to their patients.

Dr. Tran has a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in clinical psychology with close to 15 years of post-Ph.D. clinical experience.  She is currently registered as a psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and College of Alberta Psychologists.  She is also a member of the Canadian Psychological Association and she has clinical competency working with adults and older adults.

Sanaz (she/her) works with children, teens, parents, and families who want to feel better about themselves, address anxiety and mood issues, and improve their relationships. Whether working with a child, adolescent, or their family, Sanaz provides a compassionate and collaborative approach tailored to each client’s unique experiences and the changes they hope to achieve. Her practice is centered on providing evidence-based, culturally sensitive care, with a deep passion for supporting individuals from diverse cultural, racial, religious, class, gender, sexual, and other identities. Sanaz is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive therapeutic environment where everyone feels valued and understood.

In addition to supporting children and teens, Sanaz works with parents to address parenting challenges, strengthen family relationships, and support their children’s emotional well-being. This collaborative work helps families navigate challenges and foster growth.

Understanding the importance of feeling safe and understood, Sanaz believes that meaningful connections stem from embracing vulnerability. Therapy does not have to be intimidating; it is about real conversations where clients feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are.

Together with clients, Sanaz creates a space where thoughts and emotions can be shared openly, without judgment. She encourages anyone curious about therapy and its potential benefits for themselves or their child/adolescent to reach out. Sanaz is committed to guiding clients on their journey toward healing and personal growth.

Sanaz holds a Master of Arts degree from York University and has undertaken clinical training in a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals, community mental health clinics, and private practices. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Department of Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Manitoba (Faculty of Medicine). She has also worked at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, and Bloorview Kids Rehab. She is registered child and adolescent psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).

Biography

Jennifer (she/her) is a Clinical Psychologist in Supervised Practice with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Counselling and Clinical Psychology from the University of Toronto, an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University and an Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Care from the Humber College Institute of Technology and Applied Learning. Jennifer has over 25 years of experience providing mental health support to adolescents and adults in community, hospital, educational and private practice settings. As such, she is comfortable and competent working with individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues, life stressors and individuals with a history of trauma.

In her psychotherapy practice, Jennifer supports individuals using evidenced-based therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). If you or your adolescent chooses to work with Jennifer at Momenta Clinic you can expect a compassionate and collaborative approach to address the struggles you have been experiencing and the changes you hope to make in your life. Together, you and Jennifer would develop a plan on how you want to structure your sessions, and the outcomes you hope to achieve, and regularly check in to ensure you remain on track to meet your needs.

Biography

Tanveer holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and is a PhD candidate at the University of Delhi, India. With over five years of professional experience at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), she has extensive expertise in providing psychotherapy, conducting psychological assessments, and contributing to research in the field. Her published work in reputed journals highlights her scientific and evidence-based approach to mental health care.

Tanveer is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and specializes in working with adult clients dealing with anxiety, depression, and lifestyle-related stress. She also provides diagnostic assessments to support individualized treatment plans. Currently practicing under supervision, Tanveer is committed to delivering high-quality care while continuing to enhance her clinical expertise. She provides culturally sensitive care and often provides therapy for South Asian clients. She is able to provide services in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.

Known for her compassionate and client-centered approach, she is dedicated to helping her clients achieve emotional well-being and resilience. Tanveer offers therapy services at locations in Brampton and Toronto, as well as virtually, with availability for evening and weekend appointments to accommodate her clients’ schedules. She is being supervised by Dr. Harpreet Kaur Chattha, Ph.D., C.Psych.

Biography

Ailill (Al) Hall (they/them) has a Masters’ degree in Clinical Psychology. They are passionate about providing affirming and knowledgeable care to clients from a variety of backgrounds. Using a cognitive-behavioural approach, Al helps clients to make meaningful changes in their lives, while also acknowledging the validity of the client’s lived experiences. They are passionate about working with clients to find an approach that fits them best.

Outside of clinical practice, Al has been a leader in social justice movements for gender-based causes, such as reproductive rights and the rights of gender-minority individuals. Their past research has examined the experiences of transgender and non-binary clients in therapy, focusing on microaggressions in the therapy context and ways to improve therapy for gender-diverse clients.

Al Hall is currently completing their post-master’s work experience in order to become registered as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO). They work under the direct supervision of Dr. Harpreet Chattha, Ph.D., C.Psych. and are currently taking new patients for virtual services.

Raysha obtained her Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto and is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Raysha has worked in diverse settings such as food banks, community organizations, and health centres. This has given her the opportunity to work with individuals from all walks of life. She enjoys working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment that embraces everyone. Currently, she supports adolescents and adults that struggle with mood disorders, mental health challenges, and addiction and that have experienced trauma.

When working with individuals, she considers the biological, psychological, emotional and social factors that play a role in their well-being. She prioritizes client needs and is committed to meeting individuals wherever they are in their journey. Raysha uses a collaborative and compassionate approach to help individuals feel their best and lead fulfilling and purposeful lives aligned with their aspirations.

Raysha is a keen learner and is always looking for innovative ways to provide the best support possible to individuals. Beyond her practice, she dedicates ample time to expanding her knowledge and staying abreast of the latest advancements in her field. Drawing from evidence-based modalities, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy, Raysha incorporates a diverse range of techniques into her practice. She also embraces anti-oppressive, culturally-sensitive, strength-based, and trauma-informed approaches, ensuring that her clients receive comprehensive and personalized care that respects their unique experiences and backgrounds.

Raysha finds her work at Momenta Clinic incredibly rewarding, as it provides abundant opportunities for personal growth and professional development as a therapist. Biography

Bhupinder (he/him/his) is currently in the process of completing his Ed.D. in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Toronto. Post Masters, he has gained over two decades of experience in clinical service, education, training and research in the areas of chronic pain, as well as mood and anxiety disorders.

His doctoral training in Multi-Cultural Counselling coupled with his lived experience and work with diverse and marginalized communities within private practice clinics, hospital settings and university/college counselling centres has emotionally attuned him to better serve the complex and multidimensional aspects of these communities. His therapeutic stance is to foster a safe and inclusive space where vulnerability can be embraced and differences and similarities that exist can be celebrated and empowered on an individual, group based and universal level.

His aim as a BIPOC therapist is to collaboratively explore the demands that uniquely shaped an individual’s sociocultural identity through the integration of Mindfulness and Relaxation approaches and evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapies (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy (NT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Brief Solution Focused (BSF) and Adlerian Therapy.

Primarily, he works to equip adults (18yrs plus) with knowledge and tools so that they are able to strive towards living a more meaningful and authentic life. He is able to provide therapeutic support in English (written and spoken), Punjabi (spoken), Urdu and Hindi (conversationally). He is being supervised by Dr. Harpreet Kaur Chattha, Ph.D., C.Psych. (Clinical Psychologist)

Meeshika Sharma is a compassionate therapist who utilizes a client centred integrative approach to help clients gain insight supporting their goals to deal with challenges, and redefine themselves in order to lead a contented and purposeful life. With a trauma focused lens, Meeshika uses evidence based approaches, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion therapy, Emotions Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

Meeshika (she/her), is a Registered Psychotherapist with College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology. In her journey of therapeutic experience, she has supported children, adolescents, adults, parents and couples in educational and private practice settings. Meeshika has a special interest of working with couples and has completed the Emotion Focused Therapy externship to build her additional skills. She has completed Perinatal Mental Health training to support, new parents and expectant mothers.

Meeshika firmly believes that we can all break the negative pattern we are stuck in and heal when we are in the presence of someone who endeavours to provide a safe environment and facilitates the process.

Biography

Melanie is a health informatics professional with a passion for making quality care accessible to all. She hopes to utilize the potential of digital health tools to establish accessible and equitable healthcare services for all.

Melanie uses her technical and interpersonal skills in a supportive role at Momenta by providing creative support for digital tools and resources. This includes working on innovative projects such as video development and production. She is working to increase availability of mental health resources and tools for all populations.

Outside of Momenta, Melanie is a change management specialist focusing on implementing digital health tools across the province. She loves playing video games and spending quality time with her friends and family.

Biography

Azia is currently in her final year of a Bachelor of Psychology, with hopes to pursue graduate studies in the field of social work. She is passionate about fostering community well-being, diversity and making evidence-based mental health interventions accessible. Her empathic nature and nonjudgmental approach make her an invaluable team player.

As the administrative assistant and first point of contact at Momenta, Azia conducts intake screenings and assists clinicians with their schedules, along with working on special projects and community engagement. With a love for helping, organization, and a keen eye for detail she helps to support the overall smooth operations of our clinic.

Outside of Momenta, she volunteers for Pride Toronto as co-chair on one of their advisory boards, in a research lab focused on addiction vulnerabilities in early life and as a peer mentor for other mature students at York University. She also enjoys reading, photography and travelling.

Biography

Mandy (she/her) is a compassionate individual with over 8 years of administrative experience. She is a strong team player and is committed to helping the overall operations of the office. Mandy has a solid background in patient-centered healthcare administration as well as claim coordination with third-party insurance providers.

Mandy occupies two roles at Momenta. As an administrative assistant, she is the first point of contact at our practice, conducts intake screenings and assists clinicians with their schedules. As a Billing Clerk, Mandy tracks invoicing, payments and manages accounts receivable for the clinic. She is meticulous and has a keen attention to detail, which makes her a reliable member of the team. Her patient and resourceful nature contributes to the smooth operation of the clinic.

Outside of Momenta, Mandy is very close to her family and is an avid reader especially when it comes to romance and suspense novels!
